The Cloud, also known as cloud computing, refers to services and applications that run on the internet instead of locally. Instead of storing information and data locally, they are stored on remote servers accessible from anywhere via the internet.

VoIP PBX applications in the Cloud, for example, refer to communication services such as phone calls, video conferencing, instant messaging, and other types of communication that are carried out over the internet using remote servers instead of physical infrastructures.

What to do when calls do not connect or sound choppy?

  1. VoIP call quality depends on many factors, such as:
  • The available bandwidth where the device is located.

  • The cabling from the internet modem to the VoIP device.

  • Heavy use of download programs within the network.

  • The condition of the phone connected to VoIP.

When any of the above occur, it is recommended to restart the internet modem and the VoIP device, check cabling and the phone, replace them if necessary, and run tests. 2. In other cases, call quality may be affected by port blocking by the telecom operator; request opening ports 5060 and 5061 (UDP and TCP), as well as ports 80, 8080, and the UDP range 2000–20000. 3. Check the audio codecs configured in the account and the VoIP device. 4. If there is still no solution, contact Voicetophone support by emailing soporte@voicetophone.com
